Abu Dhabi rent freeze

On 2 June 2026, ADREC suspended rent increases on new and renewed tenancy contracts for residential, commercial and industrial property. The freeze is temporary and will be reviewed as market conditions change. If your landlord is demanding an increase, it is likely unenforceable while the freeze is in place.
